Holland had a follow-up appointment with her pediatrician today. She came home on Tuesday with a new list of meds. She is now on Albuterol, Pulimcort, and Amoxicillin, as well as Zyrtec and 2.5% Hydrocortizone cream. She finished her Predisone yesterday. We are weaning the Albuterol, and will start doing that only on an as needed basis. She will take the antibiotic for 7 days. We will continue the Pulmicort breathing treatments through the winter once a day.
I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for Eden too since her congestion is not getting any better, and may even be worse. Our pediatrician (who is the Greatest Doctor Ever) said that Eden is wheezing a little and ordered a chest xray to make sure that SHE doesn't have pneumonia. It turned out clear, so we are happy about that. We are taking her back in tomorrow at 11:30 to make sure that she is getting better. We started Albuterol treatments with Eden today, and are pretty sure that she will end up on Pulmicort through the winter also. Both girls will be getting a flu shot, as well as monthly Synagis shots (for RSV) through the winter. So, after about 6 months close to drug free, we are back to keeping schedules on the fridge so we don't forget any meds!

Hey girls,
It's so nice to see your smiley and funny faces again ! Wish you always happy and healthy !
Love you all ! :)
Van family.
Oh my goodness!! The picture of Eden layed back in the swing is priceless..it says it all! I'm glad that they are enjoying the good stuff after a grueling week of doctors and hospitals..it makes
my heart happy to see them smiling!
By the way...little Miss Buck sure is a cutie, if there was ever a child who looked like their daddy she is it!!
The girls look so happy, hope everyone is feeling better and medication free.
Hi there.
Well..I understand the meds schedule! Merry is on Albuterol and Pulmicort as well...three times a day for four days, then twice a day for a week...then Pulmmicort once a day until May.
Ugh.
I HATE breathing treatments!
Love you lots.
Take care of those sweet girls.
Despite what your girls have went through over the past couple of weeks, they look like they are back to the cheerful, smiling, little girls we love to see! What troopers! There are so many of us that love and adore them and admire you from afar. Thanks for sharing, as we anxiously await every update!
Sincerely,
Jen
Oh, these pictures are soooooo cute!! You sure do have a couple of adorable kids. Has anyone ever told you that? Much love, Jess
Before we have children, most of us know that we are going to love that child. But until our babies are born, we don't understand the intensity that love will take or how dedicated we'll be to that child. You and John demonstrate just how intensely you do love these little darlings and how very dedicated you are to them. What you write lets all of us feel as if we're a part of your family and we share in all that goes on. Know that you, John, Eden and Holland are in my prayers. I care what happens to all of you. God will be your strength. Connie Wilhoite
Aww, such cute pictures. I hope the various meds will help them to have a happy and healthy fall and winter. It will be so worth the hassle!
When our babes were that small, I used to put two back-to-back in one swing. They supported each other and didn't slouch around so much. And it was good because our local park had only 2 baby swings for our 3 babies!
Best wishes,

There's nothing like a little trip to the park before bedtime.
Your girls look so sweet and happy in those swings.
You're taking great care of them, and please know that you have many, many friends who lend their support.
Love you all
