This morning she woke up in terrible shape wheezing, coughing, and congested. I called the peds office, and took her in to see a doc at 10 this morning. At first they thought her oxygen was was 82, and they were going to send us to the hospital in an ambulance, but once they readjusted the pulse ox, it read 92. This was after three breathing treatments 2 hours apart, so they still wanted us to go to the ER but I got to drive. After a dose of oral steroids, and three more albuterol treatments, she was satting 94 and sounding much better so they decided to let us come home. We'll see a doc again tomorrow morning, but she is looking pretty good right now.
Man...the whole hospital routine with a one and a half year old on albuterol is not a good thing! I exhausted my entire bag of tricks trying to keep her happy sitting in a room with mist blowing in her face for almost five hours!!! Let's all hope tonight goes okay, and I don't end up repeating the whole scenario tomorrow.

If you need to go tommorrow, call and I'll come provide entertainment:). Or I can entertain Eden while your gone, so you don't have to take her with you. Kim
I hope Holly feels better!
good luck! i hope she feels better, and i just wanted to let you know that i think that Eden and Holly are both absolutely beautiful ... :-)
I hope she is doing better! This whole asthma/allegy this is killing us! Both of my boys (13mths)have been to the Dr. 1-2 time a week for the past month. We are on three breathing treatments a day each and steroids. Kyle is now going in for a bronchioscopy (sp?). Yuck! If it isn't the cold, it's the trees! Hang in there.
I have so enjoyed reading your thoughts and seeing your beautiful daughters make such wonderful progess. I have been on a similar journey. I gave birth to twin girls (24 weekers) in December. Unimaginably, we lost Sarah to NEC at 13 days old. With praise to our Lord, our miracle, Emma, came home after 96 days in the NICU. It is an experience unlike any other. There is an unspoken bond between mothers of micro-preemies...my heart and prayers are with you and your family. God bless!
Oh man...I know how that goes. We've done that with Merry a couple of times.
Its worse when they are older cause they are SICK of the breathing treatments!
I pray that Holland is feeling better.

I'm hoping that Holland is feeling better! I also love the photos of the girls and the piano. D gets to play the piano at her "mama's" house and she absolutely loves it.
Good luck! I hope that Holland is feeling better. I know breathing treatments are no fun but they work! By the way, those pictures of the girls on the piano are adorable. It looks like they are def. enjoying themselves!!
Lovely photos! I will pray for Holly's breathing to improve, and no more ER trips. Also for Eden to remain healthy.
Happy music-making!
