Potty Progress

I had meant to do this post last week, but we had a little setback. We're still trying to recover from our little hospital stay in terms of getting Eden back to some sense of normalcy in her sleeping and eating. We were already going through a bad patch with the sleeping situation before she got sick, but that's a whole other post.

Anyhow, after 4 days of NOT using the potty, she has gotten right back on track since coming home. The charts show the first week of diligent potty training at our house. They get a sticker on the potty chart each time they pee or poop.

Obviously someone is a little more committed to the process than someone else;)

Oh, Holland, you always make me laugh. Loungin' on the loo with a juice box is TOTALLY where it's at!

I couldn't stop giggling reading this. We had a real good day on Monday too - 3 times in a row. Then on tuesday, I picked Moo up from kindy and asked him if he did any pees in the potty. He said no and I asked him why not?
His reply was - "I did that yesterday"
3 year olds!

Go Eden!! you are a rockstar. Maggie is currently going a ton as well incentive....a fish. However she has to earn the bowl, then the rocks, then the water and then....the fish!! Not my idea obviously. Glad to hear that she is feeling better.

Oh that is too funny! Halle is like Holland - could care less about sticker charts or incentives. Maybe I should try the fish idea that one of your commenters is doing.

I am so glad that Eden is home and the normal routine has resumed. I just love to come and see your girls' smiling faces.

PS - I am just lazy when it comes to publishing blog comments. Sorry for the delay. And thank you for keeping these babes in your thoughts! I am scared to death of a repeat micropreemie(s) and we've had bumps in the road already. We're just trying to go one day at a time...

The pics are too cute! I guess Holland figures she might as well get comfortable if she has to sit there.:)

Great Job girls!

Billie, so glad to see that you are all home and on the mend, I know too well how crappy it is to be in the hospital.
I couldn't help but notice though, you said Eden was on IV fluids but I didn't see an IV in any of the pics? Where was it? Curious because we have so much trouble getting an IV into Lena.

Korinna,
You're right! The IV isn't showing in any of the pics. That is just coincidence, because I didn't intend it that way. For the first couple of days her IV was in her right hand/wrist, with her hand all taped up. They got that one on the first try in the ER after numbing cream (best case scenario). It went out on the second night (on poor daddy's shift), so they moved it to her left hand/wrist. That one took two tries with no numbing cream:( Still could be worse though...at least it was our favorite nurse.

Sorry we don't have a good suggestion for poor Lena. Luckily, at this age, both girls have pretty good veins. I know how painful (for mom and baby) it is when they have to poke so many times:(
